| Peterson Hearing: Who Will Testify? October 21, 2003 - Full Story with Video Reporter Gloria Gomez has obtained the list of witnesses that prosecutors will call to build their case that Peterson killed his wife Laci and their unborn child. The state's case against Scott Peterson will begin with those who can describe Scott's behavior before and after Laci disappeared. Amy Rocha, Laci's sister, may be the first family member to testify. It would make sense since Amy might have been the last relative to see Laci alive. She will likely recount the events of December 23rd, the day before Laci vanished, and describe the couple's mood as she did at a press conference earlier this year. Amy also remembers Laci's outfit that day, which will play an important role later in the investigation. There's a good chance that Laci's mother Sharon Rocha will be asked to take the stand next. She'll describe Scott's odd behavior after her daughter disappeared. Sources say from the beginning, Scott avoided talking to Sharon. Laci's stepfather Ron Grantski may follow. Ron was the one who called 911 and reported Laci missing. Another potential prosecution witness is Scott's father, Lee Peterson. Sources say Lee never knew Scott was going fishing on Christmas Eve,and had no idea that his son had bought a boat. Sources say the Peterson's housekeeper, Margarita Nava will also be called to testify. She'll describe her cleaning duties on December 23rd and Laci's mood. Two of the Peterson's neighbors will also take the stand. Karen Servas found Laci and Scott's dog McKenzie dragging its leash the day before Christmas. She'll also provide the prosecution with a timeline. Neighbor Amy Kriagbaum says Laci always had the window blinds open. She'll testify that she found it unusual that on Christmas Eve they remained closed.
