| AMBER CALLED SCOTT ON DEC 23, 2002 ? Transcript from Greta's show VAN SUSTEREN: All right, Howard, December 23, a phone call from Amber Frey, the girlfriend. Can you tell us the details? BREUER: Well, we don't know the details of the call. There's speculation that that might have set off a heavy argument between Scott and Laci. The big question is whether that will help the case or hurt the case. Even if people believe that Scott is guilty of killing Laci, one could speculate that the killing occurred in the heat of passion. It would not necessarily merit a first-degree verdict of premeditated murder. VAN SUSTEREN: And of course, at this point, we don't know that, but I guess that's what a trial is for, as well as Amber Frey will have her opportunity to come forward and testify. Kate, fishing -- did he go fishing on the 24th? What's the evidence looking in favor that he actually did go fishing, and what suggests did he not go fishing? SHEEHY: He says he went fishing. He says that he took out the boat in that area, about three miles from where the bodies were found. The authorities say that they have found concrete filings at the bottom of his aluminum boat, and they're even suggesting that he possibly fashioned anchors out of concrete to weigh Laci's body down. They also had found drums of concrete behind his home for which he apparently has not been able to give them a reasonable explanation of why he had them there. ++++++ RESPONSES From: Airplane (AIRPLAIN) Apr 23, 2003 That would be enough to make a person's hair stand on end. How frightening. Geeze, your new boyfriend tells you he's a widower. Then......in the next couple of weeks you find out that not only is he married, but that his wife has gone missing. You'd feel like you were in the Twilight Zone. No joke! ++++++++ From: CINDIEC Apr 23, 2003 Well, If the guy I was dating, who said he was a widower, suddenly has a wife, that disappears.......I'd be afraid he may do something to me AND I'd be especially concerned because of my little daughter!
