The source said that title information for property on the island was discovered on a home computer seized in a search of the couple's house. A judge has ordered search warrants related to the case to remain sealed. Scott Peterson told detectives that he had been fishing the waters off Brooks Island the day he last saw his wife alive" COMPLETE NEWS ARTICLE AT CONTRA COSTA TIMES Police Investigate Discoveries Of Woman's Body, Male Fetus Body Pulled From Richmond Waterfront KNBC-TV- April 14, 2003 A badly decomposed body was pulled from a muddy Bayshore park early Monday evening. Fetus And Body Found Separately. A woman walking her dog discovered the body earlier the day and notified police. Police have shut down the area, which is a popular dog-walking park. Authorities could not release many details, but confirmed a body was discovered at Point Isabel and it is female. On Sunday, another body, that of an infant boy, was found nearby at the Richmond marina. Richmond police Sgt. Enos Johnson said the male fetus of an unknown race was also badly decomposed when it was found around 5 p.m. near SEABREEZE DRIVE. The cause of death is also unknown. Authorities say the umbilical cord was still attached -- and it appears the body had been there for some time. Sixty five acres of rock and sand - home to the East Bay Regional Park District's only wildlife sanctuary. Soul-mates, Roy and Heather live their lives by the tides - which they check daily before heading ashore to do chores. Groceries and laundry, propane and more get transported by motorboat from the Richmond Marina to their modest island home. A sudden storm and the couple is stranded, sometimes for days as heavy winds whip the choppy waters. Brooks Island is rich with history. Legend has it gold is buried here. Brooks Island a 373 acre island off Point Richmond once used as a water fenced compound for animal stock then a private pheasant hunting preserve, is now a reserve for nesting terns, herons and egrets.
