Jurors reviewed several large maps of
San Francisco Bay, including this one
which shows
Brooks Island and Berkeley Marina, where Peterson launched his
boat. Peterson told police he
fished for
sturgeon off the island, which is in shallow
water about two miles from the
marina.
Jurors saw several photos taken at a candlelight
vigil for Laci Peterson Dec. 31, 2002. Peterson did
not sit on a stage with other family members at the
service and according to some witnesses, he did
not behave like a worried husband. In this photo
and the one above, Peterson is seen smiling.

Pool media producer Peter Shaplen
holds CDs of
phone calls between Peterson
and mistress Amber Frey. After the recordings were played for jurors, Judge Alfred Delucchi released them to the public Aug. 12.
Three witnesses testified that Peterson's behavior
at the candlelight
vigil seemed inappropriate for a
worried husband. One woman said he showed no
emotion during the service and was grinning as he "socialized" with friends afterwards. The jurors
saw this photo which appeared in the Modesto Bee.
