When she began cooperating with police, Amber turned over snapshots of Scott, including this photo taken by a friend on the way to a Dec. 14 Christmas formal.
Frey took this shot of Peterson at her home before the formal. The same night, Laci went alone to a Christmas party and told friends her husband had a business meeting.
Scott contacted friend Brian Argain to ask about selling his home...furnished. He also discussed it with Terri Western.
A surveillance team with the Calif. Dept. of Justice tracked Scott for hours before arresting him on April 18, 2003. Peterson led the agents on a 160-mile circle throughout parts of Orange, River- side and San Diego counties before they arrested him near a San Diego golf course.
Police kept an extra-close eye on Scott after the remains of Laci & Conner were found on theshores of San Francisco Bay on April 14 and 15, 2003. Modesto police Det. Craig Grogan testified he immediately prepared an arrest warrant, concerned Peterson would flee before DNA tests could establish the identities of the bodies. This surveillance photo was taken April 18, 2003, the day Peterson was apprehended in San Diego. Police found camping equipment, his brother's identification and thousands of dollars in cash in his car at the time of his arrest.
Peterson participated in sit-down interviews with three television reporters about one month after Laci disappeared. Interviews with ABC's Diane Sawyer and local telelvision reporters Ted Rowlands and Gloria Gomez were entered into evidence at his double- murder trial as prosecutors sought to point out false statements he made.
On Jan. 28, 2003, Peterson sat down with "Good Morning America" host Diane Sawyer for a nationally televised interview.
Modesto police Det. Craig Grogan secretly videotaped an interview he had with Scott Peterson on Jan. 3, 2003.

Peterson let reporter Gloria Gomez of KOVR, the CBS affiliate in Sacramento, into his Modesto home for an interview on Jan. 29, 2003. Police would later discredit many of the statements he made during the conversation, including his claim that he told mistress Amber Frey he was married only days after his wife's Christmas Eve disappearance. According to taped phone calls, he didn't tell Frey until Jan. 6, 2003.
