| Geragos May Have Scheduling Conflict Due To Jackson Case April 12, 2004 Scott Peterson's lawyer, Mark Geragos, may have a scheduling conflict this week involving the legal troubles of one of his other high-profile clients, the self-styled "King of Pop" Michael Jackson, Judge Alfred Delucchi said Monday afternoon. After a day in which a total of three potential jurors were added to the jury pool, Delucchi asked Geragos whether a judge in Santa Barbara County, where child molestation charges have been filed against Jackson, wanted him in court this week. Geragos said he hoped to have the matter resolved with a phone call. Delucchi indicated that Geragos needed to be at the Peterson trial through Thursday. "Tell him you've got to be here,' Delucchi said. Outside the courtroom Geragos would not provide any details about the Santa Barbara judge's request, or even the judge's identity. He reiterated that he expected to resolve any scheduling conflicts with a phone call. HOME INDEX LACI TRIAL NEWS WIRETAPS MAGAZINES EVIDENCE-NEWS AUTOPSY |
