For the first time it has been revealed that the 27 year old Laci suffered a possible knife wound just above her pregnant belly. The new details about Laci's grisly demise come from a still unreleased autopsy report viewed by a source. The police will be using the report to build a case against Scott, says one crime source "It shows the savageness behind her death." Sources points out the whole in her upper abdomen could be a knife wound. As Globe reported previously, Laci's head and most of her neck were missing. The autopsy also describes how her leg below her knee was gone as well as both arms below the elbow, according to Fox's Geraldo Rivera, whose source saw the report. The autopsy indicates her extremities were most likely lost naturally after her body was dumped in the Bay. But a source disagrees, saying her limbs were cut at the joints to make it easier to dispose of the body. The autopsy also reveals the baby was not ritually cut out of her, but expelled by gases building up in her lifeless body, a phenomenon know as coffin birth. Even as cops are banking Laci's autopsy secrets will help them cement their case against Scott, his attorneys are hoping that a mystery witness will get their man off the hook. The witness claims that she was brutally beaten and raped by members of a satanic cult 10 days before Laci went missing and she told Scott's defense team that she overheard her attackers saying they would strike again soon. The Modesto woman, who's being held in a secret location, says that the body of one of her assailants had a tatoo of three sixes- a mark of the devil. She heard them discussing their plans to kidnap another woman "on Christmas." The woman is convinced that the people who attacked her also abducted Laci, says a defense team source. "She's absolutely convinced of it." "It was a horrific ordeal for her, but she still mananged to pay attention to what was being said around her. Her attackers were very specific about what they were planning and said after they struck, people would be reading about it in the newspapers." "She's doing all she can to assist us in a lot of the missing pieces of the puzzle." DR.
