| SABREENAKATZ July 16, 2003 I found Patrick as a senior in a 1958 Pt Loma High School yearbook. The library only had a few yearbooks so I lucked out on finding 1958--they did not have the years Jackie would have graduated, they do have them at the high school but they close at noon in the summer and I haven't been able to get over there. |
| by RTE66 * ROBERT JOHN LATHAM named his daughter, (b. 1974), Leeta after his mother. His son is named Abraham (b. 1976). Robert John was first married to Ruth Marbach in Sept 1973--lived in Riverside County -- Idyllwild, CA. Ruth Latham remarried in Feb 1981 to Mark H. Uffer, in San Bernardino Co., CA. They divorced in CA 1987-88. Robert John still had property transactions as late as 1998 with Ruth in Riverside Co., probably waited to sell joint property even after remarriage--so I can't tell when he married Nancy Jean Latham, but it was after 1985 and before 2000. If Ventura Co. records were online, I could tell. I can't access free public CA marriage records after 1985. Robert John is/was a building contractor who had a company called Latham Construction in Ventura, although he was listed on the licensing as living in Idyllwild, which is not close by. The construction company is listed in CA as inactive, because bonding hasn't been renewed since 2002. Robert John's most recent property transactions and recorded documents in Riverside County were just in April and May of this year. | SABREENAKATZ Jun-5, 2003 Nazareth House (the orphanage where the Latham children lived) is a very historic place, architecturally significant from 1924 and somewhat a part of the Mission San Diego de Alcala "compound" (nearby, not on the grounds), which is the heart of southern CA Catholicism and history. Fr. Serra founded it in the 1600s. When I went to research Nazareth House, I found there are two different facilities by that name, although they are both part of the Poor Sisters of Nazareth charity. One was the long-time orphanage I described above and the other is a retirement center and home for retired priests. |
