Juror 29466 was born and raised in Russia, moving to the United States in 1993. He did not know much about the case, owing to his disinterest in watching television, he said. He was, like another Russian immigrant previously qualified, reluctant to supportthe death penalty and cautious when it came to police. Authorities, he said, have the ability to misinterpret reality and abuse their power. "Coming from Russia, I am very suspicious of people with power given to them by the state," he said. Delucchi hopes to find another 20 people for the jury pool before picking the final panel of 12 regular jurors and 6 alternates.
