MODESTO -- They roared in on separate bikes, united by a single tragedy.

Bike run participant Lynne Rashe says, "I could just imagine if it happened to my daughter."

Dozens of motorcyclists attended a concert in Modesto paying tribute to Laci
Peterson and her child,
Conner. Laci's cousin Shawn Rocha organized
today's bike run and concert in fear Laci, the person, is being forgotten.

Shawn Rocha says, "The whole story was just Scott and the trial and the lawyer getting camera time."

Rocha asked not to discuss Scott Peterson's upcoming preliminary hearing -- not today.
He wanted only to focus on thanking the people, most of them strangers, who took
Laci into their hearts, all the months she was missing.

Shawn Rocha says, "Whether you were walking the lakeside or whether you were
talking about her around the watercooler, praying for her."

The bikers hopped on early this morning at a local Harley shop.
They visited Laci's gravesite, then converged on to the concert.
Many of them added a Laci Memorial pin to their already crowded leather vests.

Bike run participant Andy Raichel says, "I think this is an
honor to have it and I thought it'd stand out by itself."

The sheer number of people who turned out today surprised its organizer.

Shawn Rocha plans to make this tribute an annual event. As he says,
'No one loved a party like Laci.'
