Scott Peterson has given police only one official interview since his wife
Laci vanished a year ago--and now The ENQUIRER has obtained the
full word-for-word transcript of his telling on-the-record questioning.

The blockbuster world exclusive reveals Scott to be calm and seemingly unconcerned as he spoke with a detective -- just six hours after he'd reported his pregnant wife was "missing".  At times he was so relaxed that he actually chuckled with police!

And his interview is rife with inconsistencies that first made police suspect Scott was involved in Laci's disappearance.

What you are about to read is a document that will play an important part in Scott's upcoming murder trial -- a document
that will leave both sides with plenty to argue about.

Scott was interviewed by Modesto, CA Detective Al Brocchini
at police headquarters.   The sit-down began one minute
after midnight on Christmas Day.  At the time, Laci's  panicked family members were combing a darkened park for the pretty, pregnant woman, and fearful friends were opening up a
printing shop to get out fliers with her photograph.

"His wife had vanished, and like everyone else Scott should have been
out of his mind with worry about Laci", a source close to the case told
The ENQUIRER.

"Instead, he was calm -- too calm -- as he talked to an investigator.
He even chuckled at times.  And strangely, he hardly asked a question
about what police were doing to find his wife.

"It was the first hint detectives had that Scott might be involved."
