SCOTT GETS THE CHAIR!
A SOFT NEW ONE, THAT IS

COURTS WOODEN SEATS WERE JUST TOO HARD

Scott Peterson's hot seat just got a little more comfortable.

The
defense and prosecution in his murder trial have stood up
for their rights -- to sit in more comfortable chairs.

The opposing parties agreed the hard wooden chairs they had to use in the San Mateo
County, Calif., courthouse were creating "sore loosers" on both sides.

Scott's attorney Mark Geragos joined prosecutors David Harris and Rick Distaso
in asking Judge Alfred Delucchi if they could buy more comfortable chairs.

Although Delucchi suggested they were "a bundh of cream puffs", he said it was O.K.,

The opposing sides spent $625 for five cushioned chairs, a source told the Enquirer.

A BARGAIN
Geragos bought three  -- for Scott, himself and for JoEllan Dimitrius.
Harris and Distaso each bought a chair.

But the posterior pampering was a bargain, The Enquirer has learned.
"The chairs were supposed to cost $175 each",
said the source, "but they got them for $125 each."
