He lied about his golf scholarship, and he has a pattern of telling untruths and trying to deceive others. Dr. Andrew Hodges, says he is a "pathological liar." Scott's life is littered with lies. "Every word that comes out of his mouth is a lie" Dennis Rocha, tells the NE. Peterson's lies go back to his days at the University of San Diego High School, where he played on the golf team, the NE learned. He bragged to classmates that he received a golf scholarship to ASU. Even David Thoennes, Peterson's High School golf coach, told the NE "It was my distinct impression that he had a scholarship." But officials at ASU insist that Scott did not. "There is no record of Scott Peterson ever winning a golf scholarship- or even playing for our golf team," declared Doug Tammaro, the schools sports information director. Scott Peterson and his family have perpetuated the notion that he attend ASU on a golf scholarship. "Jackie Peterson, Scott's mom, has chimed in too," an insider told the NE. "She said Scott walked away from his golf scholarship after a semester to live with his parents who moved to Morro Bay." Scott's lies continued, he told Dennis Rocha he never cheated on his wife.
