Scott went to the apartment of his secret lover in December and told her that his wife was dead. Tears pouring down his cheeks, he made this chilling statement to Amber Frey-- less than a week BEFORE his wife vanished. 2. Scott was crying as he told Amber, "I lost my wife the first week in December LAST YEAR." this according to Amber Frey's older sister, who asked the Enquirer to withhold her name. Amber's father, Ron Frey, confirmed this in an exclusive Enquirer interview. Amber took that to mean he was a widower. He told her he had lied when he stated he had never been married. Scott told her he felt bad about the lie and wanted to keep the relationship honest. 3. Twice after the hunt for Laci started, Scott phoned the still unaware, Amber. "He was calling Amber up until December 28th, and acting like they were still boyfriend and girlfriend," according to Ron Frey. Amber didn't find out about Laci's disappearence until Dec. 29th, she had been too busy to watch the news. 4. Amber passed a polygraph test after telling cops the bizarre details of her affair with Scott and is now being guarded around the clock. 5. Amber meet 31 year old Scott on a blind date on Nov. 20th at the World Sports Cafe bar in Fresno. Scott and Amber were introduced by a girl who knew him from work, the girl thought that he was single, according to Ron Frey. 6. Amber's grandmother and father babysat her child while they went on dates. Dec. 14th, they went to a Christmas party at the sports bar were they met, Scott was dressed formally, with a flower in his buttonhole, Amber in a red dress. "They had a professional studio picture taken in the studio". Scott told her he wanted their relationship to be "exclusive", according to Amber's sister. 7. Scott told Amber if they did marry he didn't want more children. He was charming and made her a carmel-apple at her apartment and thencleaned up the kitchen perfectly. 8. Scott told her he was spending the holidays in Maine and then had to go on business to Paris, and would not be home until Jan 25th, 2003. When she asked for the address to send him a X-mas card he gave her a post office box number in Modesto. She was also hurt because Scott failed to give her a X-mas present. 9. Unnerved by his 'late wife story", Amber asked a friend- a private detective- to check out her boyfriend. On Dec. 29th the investigator swiftly derailed her dreams. He told her the story of Scott's missing wife Laci. 10. Amber has refused to take money for her story. Feb. 10th was Laci's due date and also Amber's birthday. "Amber cried all that day," said her sister. "It was a cruel co-incidence- and she was devasted."
