LACI & CONNER
Forever in Our Hearts
May 6, 2003 - STAR ,
NATIONAL ENQUIRER and GLOBE

From:  RICKAMORTI1

All three of the papers have pictures of Laci on the cover!
Because of the sheer number of stories, I am only going to post
tidbits and information I have read nowhere else.  There are quite
a few pictures of a beautiful Laci in her
wedding gown in Star.

STAR - LACI THE BRIDE
by Neil Blincow,  Bob Michaels, John South and David Thompson

1.  The wedding took place at the Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort, a popular place
for weddings in San Luis Obispo.

2.  Charles Yates told Star that Laci had once worked at the resort,  which had lovely gardens.

3.  Dennis Rocha was late for the wedding due to work and his dad, Laci's grandfather,
walked her down the aisle.

4. Sharon Rocha and Laci were given roses by Scott the day Sharon  met him for the first time.

5.  Laci was looking forward to being a mom despite removal of one ovary and had taken twice a
week yoga classes in Modesto during last summer.  Scott never came to the yoga class.

6.  Laci was happy being pregnant and planned to decorate Conner's  room in a nautical theme.

7.  Laci's cousin, Candace Rocha, wonders why Scott took out a life insurance policy on
Laci after she became pregnant, and named himself, not Conner, as a beneficiary.

8.  As news mounted of Laci's disappearence, Amber Frey, came forward to say she
had an affair with Scott who had picked her up at a bar in Fresno, on Nov. 20th.

LACI: THE ANKLE WEIGHTS  COPS GRUESOME EVIDENCE
BY DAVID THOMPSON
LACI WAS MURDERED BECAUSE SHE WAS PREGNANT

1.  Scott killed his wife Laci after planning to do so for months because
he knew they were heading for a divorce and the thought of losing half
his wealth drove him to a cold fury.  Getting pregnant sealed her fate.

2.  Laci's death wasn't the result of a tragic accident followed by a cover-up.
Police believe he may have been
planning it for months and took the
opportunity during a violent fight to end her life and put his plan in to action.

3.  Cops have a chilling piece of evidence, pointing towards premeditation
- a credit card receipt for ankle weights Scott bought before Laci disappeared
.

4.  According to a source he was unable to produce the weights.
That caused LE to suspect they are still attached to Laci's ankles.

5.  Laci started talking of divorce when she learned about his most
recent affair with Amber. He did not want to pay child support.

6.  Laci was killed in the kitchen, and once dead, according to Wecht, the baby
could not live longer then 10 minutes and that Laci was probably strangled.

7.  Scott told Diane Sawyer "Violence toward women is
unapproachable to me" "Its the most disgusting act to me".

NE:   LACI'S FINAL MINUTES
HOW HER HUSBAND KILLED HER- ACCORDING TO THE COPS
BY DON GENTILE, DAVID WRIGHT,
MICHAEL HANRAHAN and ALAN SMITH

1.  Pregnant Laci Peterson was punched in the stomach and
beaten to death by her cheating husband Scott.

2.  Police now believe Scott killed Laci on Dec 23rd, not on Christmas Eve, the
day she was reported missing. Cops say Scott then made a secret middle
of the night trip from his home in Modesto to dump her body in the bay.

3.  If Scott was to marry Amber, he told her he did not want to be a father, and he
would have a vasectomy.  Police say he wanted to be free of responsibilty.

4.  Police think Scott planned to kill Laci and came up with the idea to make it
look like
she'd been abducted while he was fishing 90 miles away. Scott did not
realize, however that Laci's disappearance would make headlines around the
world and he'd be forced to feed
lie after lie to her family, the media and police.

5.  On DEC. 23, Laci and Scott went to a hairstyling shop, where her sister Amy worked.
Amy clipped Scott's hair and talked to Laci, who did not reveal she had found
out about Scott's affair.   She was trying to work things out since Scott said
he had ended the affair which was a lie.  Laci and Scott returned home.

6.  At 8:30 pm Laci spoke with her mother Sharon.  Laci told her they would be over
at 6 for X-mas dinner, the next evening. Police believe she was killed in her
home following that phone call after she got ready for bed that night.

7.  During a search of the Peterson house in Feb. police took Laci's sister, Amy, to the
house to help identify any missing items.  "Amy told them a set of maternity
night
clothes Laci owned were missing".

8.  Police believe Scott may have pushed Laci into an argument, or else Laci
accused Scott of lying.  Police know violence errupted in the kitchen, a
mop
with flecks of blood were found, which they think he used to clean up blood and
vomit.  She had been punched in the stomach hard enough to make her throw up.

9.  The cops are trying to determine if Laci was bound and gagged, choked and tied to a
red kitchen chair before she was killed.  "There are rub marks on the chair in the
kitchen that could have been made from a rope." Laci did suffer before she died.

10.  After committing the murder, Scott Put his wife into his pick-up   truck  under cover
of darkness Dec. 23.  Scott then drove to  his warehouse.  He stuffed 5 foot 1
Laci into one of the three 55 gallon drums he'd ordered, packed it with 3 cement
anchors and covered the drum with it's lid.'

11.  Cops found out from his computer he learned to make  cement anchors.
Scott made 5 cement anchors but could only account for 2 of them.

12.  By 1:30 am or so on X-mas Eve, after an hour drive, Scott exited Interstate 80 at Gilman Street,
headed for the marina.  He passed the Radison Hotel on the marina grounds, drove slowly
to a single lane road that took him through CesarChavez Park and ended at a parking lot
by the rock strewn slope that leads to the water of San Francisco Bay.  At high tide, Scott
pushed the drum containingLaci's body down the rocky slope directly into the water..where
it drifted out to sea with the tide before slowly sinking from the weight of the anchors.
He then drove home.

13.  Scott left his house again in the morning, he got his boat at the warehouse
where it was stored, and then went back to the Berkeley Marina.  As he left the
house that morning he was seen by a neighbor carrying a bundle wrapped in a
blue tarp.  Police believe he was removing evidence from the crime scene.

14.  Scott wanted to be seen that morning on the way to go fishing to help create the illusion
he was headed off to fish and was miles away from his home.  But Scott really did not
go fishing.  Test results showed the boat had not been in salt water.

15.  Police have not yet determined if Scott chopped off his wife's head and right arm and left leg so
she would fit into the drum or if the limbs and head became seperated through decomposition.

16.  The infant had been expelled from Laci's body through a phenomenon known as "coffin birth".
The police believe the build up of these gases also blew the lid off the drum causing both
bodies to come to the surface. Police say sea crabs and other fish where chewing on
Laci's remains, eventually freeing her from the anchors and allowed her to come to shore.
