Scott sent wedding ring to jeweler to be fashioned into a new ring. The Rochas recovered that ring from the jeweler and the Petersons want it back. synopsis Tearful Sharon Rocha just wanted to go in the house and feel Laci's presence. She then made a fateful decision to take Laci's things after breaking into the house. In the process, a feud with Scott's family became a burning hatred. "It's war- and its going to get worse," said a Rocha family friend. The two families are getting to hate each other. At the center of the feud is Laci's jewelry. Scott Peterson and his family want Laci's wedding ring back. And they also want a stash of jewels-including diamonds- that they claim Laci's mom took after her death. It was recently revealed that Scott sold some of Laci's jewelry before her body washed ashore April 14th. Scott had sold watches, earrings, and other items treasured by his wife. Scott Peterson's mother Jackie, has retaliated, saying that Rochas snatched jewelry that should go to them. She says Rocha's claimed from a jewelry store Laci's wedding ring, a diamond ring Scott bought for his wife and a few diamonds given to Laci by her grandmother that Scott had brought in to have a new ring made. "We want those", says Jackie. The feud was made worse when the Rocha's broke into the house to take some of Laci's things. Sharon was afraid the Petersons would sell some of Laci's things on ebay. "This was a burglary," Scotts father blasted. "I saw at least 3 pick-up trucks full of things". A close friend of Rocha's said this battle between the two families goes back along ways. Dennis Rocha never trusted Scott from the day he laid eyes on him.: He hated the way Scott treated Laci like a servant. Dennis always thought Scott was arrogant, and he suspected for along time that Scott was cheating on Laci." Petersons claim they wanted the items taken by the Rochas.
