NO PICTURES OF SCOTT?
June 21, 2004

After court began, friends of Laci Peterson testified Scott had given search volunteers
strict orders not to release any photos of himself to the media and made sure he had
left the volunteer center by the time reporters had been allowed in every day.

Stacey Boyers wiped away tears as she described the last time she spoke with Laci and the
frantic scene at the Petersons' home on Christmas Eve, 2002 - the day Laci was reported missing.

Stacey , one of three friends of Laci called to the witness stand Monday morning, said
Scott would leave the make-shift volunteer search center set up at a local Modesto motel each
morning around 9:30 a.m., just before the media was allowed to come in and talk to volunteers.

Boyers also said Scott didn't want any picture of him given out to the media.

"He said he wanted it to be just about Laci," said Boyers, who had known Laci since the third-grade.

Boyers also said that on Dec. 26, two days after Laci went missing, she noticed Scott in the
couple's Modesto home vacuuming one spot on the floor in the house's laundry room.

As other volunteers came and went from the house with missing person fliers, Scott
continued to vacuum, saying he could not get the house "clean enough," according to Boyers.

She also testified how tired Laci Peterson was because of her pregnancy.

"She told me that it didn't seem like it was the holidays because it was kind of depressing,"
Boyers said. "Every time she would start to do something she would have to stop and rest."

Under-cross examination, Boyers acknowledged that Laci Peterson
was a private person who didn't share all the details of her life.
