MICHAEL ROBERT INELIO owns and operates a company that services/cleans pools. He was contacted by the Peterson's in April of 2002, to service their pool. He serviced the pool every Tuesday on a weekly basis. He was usually there for approximately 8 minutes a week for pool maintenance, with the exception of the week of Christmas Eve. With his job, he said he was familiar with which clients had dogs. Inelio described Laci's dog, McKenzie, as "a barker." He would bark from the time Inelio drove up, the whole time he was there servicing the pool, and even went as far to say that McKenzie would bark at him as he drove away. When he went in the backyard, he'd give McKenzie a treat and greet him, but McKenzie would still bark at him. If Laci was out back while he did pool maintenance, McKenzie would stand by her, as if to protect her and bark at him. |
