Prosecutors called Laci's brother, Brent Rocha, his wife Rose Rocha; Sandy Rickard, a close friend of Laci's mom, Sharon Rocha; and Sharon's first-cousin, Gwendolyn Kemple, Gwen's husband Harvery Kemple and Laci's Step-Father Ron Grantski to the stand SEE ALIBI-WITNESS LIST FOR TESTIMONY For now, it's all about time Lawyers spent part of two days this week working with witnesses to chisel out an accurate time frame they believed could show what happened Dec. 24, 2002, when Laci left her Modesto house and never returned. It was revealed that Scott told people he was GOLFING the day Laci went missing. Scott 's double-murder trial enters its next phase with police taking the stand Monday, June 14, after two weeks of testimony from friends and family. WEEK 3 BEGINS WITH A BANG - Monday, June 14, 2004 Mark Geragos comes unglued over the "F" word and gets upset over the "peanut gallery". CLAUDIA COWAN describes courtroom drama here today, as Scott's lawyer, Mark Geragos threw a fit and asked the judge for a mistrial. It's been a week of testimony by the officers of the Modesto Police Department and the question of "Rush to Judgement" LAURA INGLE, KFI RADIO discusses her day in court when Sergeant Ron Cloward with the Modesto Police was on the stand for the majority of the day. He was the man put in charge of the search effort for Laci Peterson. Juror #5 confronts Brent Rocha and Judge wants to view video. Laci's OB-GYN takes the stand along with jewelers and Laci's Aunt and pool man. WEEK 4 BEGINS - Monday, June 21, 2004 Questions are asked regarding Laci's strength and if she still was able to walk her dog. Her friends testified. Detective Brocchini takes the stand and a video is shown that was taken when Scott was questioned the night Laci went missing. UPDATE - Juror #5 Dismissed The week ends with a bang when it is disclosed that Detective Brocchini left out information of a witness. WEEK 5 BEGINS - Monday, June 28, 2004 Detective Brocchini continued being questioned by Mark Geragos about the neighbor who broke unto Laci's home Then on re-direct a bombshell is dropped when Brocchini reveals Scott's plans to dispose a body........and * pictures* of the home are shown that were taken the night Laci went missing Criminalist Ron Welsh testified Scott's loaded handgun had not been fired despite Scott stating he had fired it the month before. While at dinner at a trade show, Scott asked Shawn Sibley, (who introduced him to Amber), what her favorite sex position was. |
