LACI'S PANTS IDENTIFIED
Sunday, June 13, 2004

Phillip Williams, security manager of a maternity clothing
company, testified about the pants found on Laci  when
her body washed ashore in Richmond in April 2003.

He testified that the tattered tan pants recovered match those she bought
on Aug. 30, 2002. Numbers from a waistband tag enabled the match, he said.

Under questioning by Geragos, Williams noted that a replica he
provided police feature a "pin tuck" seam resembling a crease
down the front, and a distinctive cuff near mid-calf.

VICTORIA GUADAMUZ, a sales associate stated that the company used a style
number from the label to identify stone-colored cropped pants with a seam and cuffs.
Scott told police his wife was wearing
black pants when he last saw her Dec. 24, 2002.

Her sister, Amy Rocha, testified that she was wearing cream-colored pants the
evening of Dec. 23, but Rocha does not recall the pants having a seam or cuffs.

Prosecutors believe the testimony will show the stone-colored pants are the same pants
Rocha saw. The defense is trying to show that the testimony proves exactly the opposite.
