| MONDAY - JUNE 21, 2004 Yoga teacher: Laci Peterson said she no longer walked her dog By Chris Metinko -CONTRA COSTA TIMES A Modesto yoga instructor testified this morning that Laci Peterson told her just days before her disappearance that she had stopped taking walks due to her difficult pregnancy. Debra Wolski said Laci had taken her class yoga classes regularly, but had started experiencing problems walking due to her pregnancy. Their last conversation took place Dec. 20, 2002, and Laci told her she had stopped the walks, was in severe pain during the final weeks of her pregnancy and could hardly walk . The testimony seemed to cause a stir, as defense attorney Mark Geragos immediately called for a recess, which was granted by Judge Alfred Delucchi. The testimony would seem to contradict what Laci's husband, Scott Peterson, told investigators his wife was doing before she disappeared on Dec. 24, 2002. Scott, who is accused of killing Laci and their unborn son, has said on many occasions hat Laci was walking the couple's dog while he fished the morning she went missing.
