"May the truth have a way of bringing justice
& some peace of mind to your hearts"

LORRIE - MICHIGAN - GUESTBOOK
September 8, 2004

Two weeks after speaking to Terri Western and
Brian Argain about selling his and Laci's house,
Scott Peterson traded his wife's Land Rover for $7,500
toward a $17,500 used Dodge Dakota pickup, said
Roger Content, (aka Contente)a used car
salesman with Roberts Auto Sales in Modesto.

He testified that Scott came into his used car lot and picked out the
Dodge Dakota.  They went into Content's office to negotiate the sale,
but Scott did not like the numbers and left.  A few hours later, Scott
returned while Content was with another customer.  Scott waited
in the outer office. When Content ws ready for him, Scott stated that
the numbers were good and he'd like to complete the trade-in.

Questioned by defense attorney Mark Geragos, Content agreed
that the Land Rover had no open-air bed like a pickup. Peterson,
an agricultural products salesman, periodically hauled products in
another pickup that police had seized, according to previous testimony.

Also, the Dakota had 35,000 miles compared with the
Land Rover's 75,000, Content said. And, the Land Rover
was registered to Scott Peterson, the salesman said.

The net sales price less the trade-in value was $11,000.  Content
came armed with a three page printout of the paperwork for the sale,
but not the document that contains the analysis of the Land
Rover's condition, which he said was still in his files.
