What did you do with the pair of pliers? A. Well, at the point that I was going into the boat and putting down placards for items that I was gonna collect as evidence, I picked up this pair of pliers, and upon immediately picking them up, I noticed that there was a hair in the end of the pliers looping through it. I pointed that out to the other people that were near me, Denise Ducot immediately took a photograph of it, and within a matter of five minutes, I placed it into an evidence bag. |
| JULY 19, 2004 Denise Ducot of the Modesto Police Department is an I.D. Technician who works with Officers and Detectives at crime scenes by videotaping the scene and taking pictures, she also processes evidence. On December 26, 2003, she was given the assignment to videotape the outside of Laci & Scott Petrson's home, under the direction of Detective Skultety. With Detective McGill, she videotaped the windows, doors, flower beds and yards. The search continued to the warehouse Scott used for his business with Tradecorp. and also where he stored his recently purchased boat & trailer. While there she photographed the pliers found with a hair in it. She stated she watched Detective Hendee place it in a manila envelope and tape it shut. Ducot was also one of the officers who went back to the Peterson home in February when about 97 boxes of items were removed from the home.
