| When the remains of Laci Peterson and their unborn child were identified, Scott Peterson had already begun to live a nomadic existence, shuttling between his friends' homes and his parents' house in the San Diego area. As prosecutors wrap up their case today, they have begun to focus on what they see as Peterson's suspicious behavior before his April 18, 2004, arrest. Peterson's hair and goatee were orange when he was arrested, and prosecutors say he had been trying to elude the officers tailing him. Peterson said his hair turned orange because he had been swimming in a friend's pool, and the chlorine and sunshine together caused the color change. But Aaron Fritz, in whose pool Peterson says he was swimming, said Peterson never went in. "Has Scott Peterson ever in your hot tub or pool?" prosecutor Rick Distaso asked Monday.
