| Mike Imelio, who serviced the Petersons' swimming pool, carries dog treats on the job Owner and operator of a pool cleaning service who cleaned Scott and Laci's pool during most of 2002, testified at the trial that Laci's dog, McKenzie, would constantly bark during the pool servicing every Tuesday (but did not sevice the pool on Christmas Eve). He testified that McKenzie generally would bark from the minute he drove up until he drove off. He carried dog treats with him and would give one to McKenzie as soon as he stepped through the gate to the yard. He'd go about his job, checking the water, etc., and McKenzie would still be barking. If Laci were home and came into the yard, the dog would stand by her side, being very protective of her. He felt if anyone tried to make a move on Laci they'd have to deal with McKenzie first.
