In a pre-emptive attack on defense witnesses who claim
they saw Laci Peterson alive after her husband is alleged to
have killed her, prosecutors focused Wednesday on other
pregnant women who lived in the couple's neighborhood.

As he questioned each witness about their walking routes
and habits, the prosecutor flashed onto a large projection
screen snapshots of the women taken at the time.

JORDAN VISOLA-PRESCOTT
Jodan Visola-Prescott lives on the same street as the Petersons
and testified that in late December 2002, she was 4 1/2 months
pregnant with twins and frequently walked her border collie-
Labrador mix at La Loma Park.   Her photo showed her
holding her swollen belly with her brown hair falling on her
shoulders like Laci.On cross-examination, she acknowledged
that she usually pulled her daughter in a red wagon during walks.

ELIZABETH GUPTILL
Guptill lives near the Petersons and was five months
pregnant in late December 2002. She does not have a dog
but often walked in the neighborhood around that time.

JILL LEAR
Lear lives near the Petersons and was 6 1/2 to 7 months
pregnant in late December 2002.  Photos were shown
of her posed in black tights like the ones Laci Peterson
often wore walking.  She often walked her dog in the
neighborhood and at La Loma Park around that time
but does not think she went on a walk on Dec. 24.

***********
During his cross-examinations,  Geragos pointed out that the women
were hardly carbon copies of Laci  in either habits or appearance.
He noted that Lear's dog was a small Australian Shepherd
with a black-and-white coat drastically different from Mackenzie's
blond coat. Bisola-Brescott's black-and-white spotted border
collie and Labrador retriever mix also scarcely resembled Mackenzie.
