Police check of Scott Peterson's body
found no signs of struggle

JULY 13, 2004

About a week and a half after his wife Laci  went missing,
Scott  stripped down to his underwear and allowed Modesto police to inspect his body for
scratches and other signs of struggle, according to an officer's court testimony today.

Officers focused especially on his hands, but found no suspicious
marks there or anywhere else on his body, officer Doug Lovell said.

On cross-examination, defense attorney Mark Geragos had Lovell repeat the fact that police
found nothing, and that Peterson was very cooperative during the Jan. 3, 2003 inspection.

"Did you notice any scratches or marks or anything on his body?" - Defense lawyer
Geragos to Modesto police evidence technician Doug Lovell, of his examination
of Scott's body seeking signs of a struggle. Lovell said he found nothing.
