| SCOTT WANTED TO PURCHASE SAAB October 4, 2004 Mario Ruvalcaba, testified that Scott Peterson answered his ad for the sale of his 1990 Saab convertible on April 11, 2003. Ruvalcaba was asked if Peterson looked the way he does now in court, on the day he met Peterson. He stated that Scott appeared different in that his hair color was different and he had a goatee. He testified that he and Scott agreed to a purchase price for the Saab, and Scott filled out all the paperwork, except for the owner's name and address. Ruvalcaba said he ultimately sold the vehicle to a woman from Las Vegas who, before Scott, wanted to see the vehicle. She was finally contacted before the purchase was completed with Scott, and was half-way to San Diego. She begged him to wait for her so she could arrive and at least let her see the car. He agreed, and she did purchase the car. It wasn't until after Scott left that Ruvalcaba noted that on the Bill of Sale, Scott used the name Jacqueline Peterson when filling out the paperwork.
