LACI & CONNER
"IT HAS BEEN ALMOST 2 YRS, BUT PLEASE KNOW THAT LACI
AND CONNER AND THE WHOLE ROCHA FAMILY ARE STILL IN
OUR HEARTS AND PRAYERS, STAY STONG FOR EACH OTHER"
NANCY TYRPAK  ~  NEW JERSEY ~ GUESTBOOK
September 16, 2004

Jurors  heard from the obstetrician who examined Laci
Peterson the day before her husband reported her missing.

Laci  was expected to give birth to a healthy baby boy who
would be named, Conner, about six weeks after she vanished,

Dr. Ester Tow-Der , who shares her office with Dr. Edraki who previously
testified, explained that Laci had  a sonogram in her first trimester
of pregnancy and a secon one at about 20 weeks along.

On the day of Laci's visit on December 23, 2002, she had her weight and blood
pressure checked. She was slightly swollen but it was a low-risk pregnancy.
Conner had a good heart rate and was in the head down postion.
Laci stated that Conner was very active.

Tow-Der testified she was on track to deliver a healthy son on Feb. 10, 2003.

"The baby was doing fine," Tow-Der said.

The prosecution asked her if all the vitals of the exam meant that
Conner would have been a viable baby on December 23, 2002.
Meaning if he was born that day, he was healthy enought to live.

She answered "Yes."
